I have been showing and breeding Beagles for over 35 years. I started showing dogs in juniors during my teens and alternated back and forth between horses and dogs in my 20's, becoming serious about dogs in the early 80's. I was showing other peoples dogs initially but in 1985 I finally got my first dog and haven't looked back.
I started teaching handling in the 1990's and truly enjoyed watching a novice handler grow into a competent presenter of their dog in the ring. I started this business after I retired from the public service and it has grown over the past 9 years into what it is today.
COVID changed everyone's life and I was no different; when I learned that I was going to temporarily lose my training space, I branched out in making BioThane®️ products. It has grown beyond my wildest expectations and is a lot of fun as I get to be creative (and it has kept me sane with something to do). In 2022 I made the decision to retire from teaching to focus on making BioThane®️ products and holding scent detection trials. Too many hours in a cold building on a hard floor took its toll on my back and it was time to make a change to grow this part of my business as I can do it in the warmth of my home.
